President's Message

I am pleased to know that IDSSS has a Web Portal now. It is indeed a good opportunity to recall the wonderful services that IDSSS is doing., with the support of Fathers, Sisters, Animators, Web Developers and all Stake Holders at various levels.

It is to be noted that activites of IDSSS are initiated for the uplifting and welfare of the poor and deprived people irrespective of Caste, Colour or Creed living in Remote Villages and City Slums. I wish and pray that these programs may bring new hope and better living conditions for those who are struggling to meet both ends. I also hope that this Website serves as a record of the multifaceted services of IDSSS and inspire People to serve the less fortunate ones.

With Good Wishes,
Bishop. T. J. Chacko SVD,
President of IDSSS.

Director's Message

IDSSS has completed 30 years of consistent effort for the development of the poor and marginalised people living in the Remote Rural Areas. Significant among our programs are the Education Support given to poor slum children to study in a Prestigious School, Hospital Ministry - Benefitting Hundreds of Rural Poor, joined Venture of the State Bank of India for Income Generation by young women, positive decision taken by Village Community to avoid Loans from money lenders, installation of Solar Lighting Devices in Rural Hostels and inroducing the use of Solar Lamps by the Villagers. Apart from this, helping and nurturing the talents of differently abled children has been a remarkable attempt that is ever remebered. I sincerely express my gratitude to all the Project Partners (Center Incharges) who work at grass level. I am am grateful to the President of IDSSS and Members of the Governing Body, the village community in general, the core development committee members, Government Officials, Bank Managers, Coordinators and Animators for their consistent support and Contribution in the accomplishment of the uphill task of Community Building.

On Behalf of the Organisation,
Fr. Mukesh
